Monika’s “.chr” file Decoded: After opening Monika’s “.chr” file, I noticed it looked like an image file. So I renamed the file extension to “.png” and got the image below. The image resembles a ring of fire with some form of QR code in the middle, however this was not a QR code. Show me the real Monika. I said the REAL Monika. perfection Gameplay Changes. Added a new farewell that lets you take Monika out of the spaceroom. This involves Monika generating a more realistic character file that you can take with you instead of the crappy monika.chr. Monika now has varying expressions when idle. Locate the original game files on your computer. Copy all specified files from the mod download to the “game” folder. This may be all files in the mod download, but is more likely to be all files in a “game” folder which came with the mod. You may see just a few files with the.rpa extension, or you may see a larger number of files with.rpy or.rpyc extensions and a folder with. In the Characters folder, right click Monika.chr and press Copy. You take that copied file, download ddlc from the internet page, download monika after story, set up the mod, just before opening the game replace the existing monika file with your own that you copied, open the game and import your ddlc files when it asks you so she has her.
You have to admit Sayori’s CHR was a lot more creative: Ogg to spectrograph to QR code, cell phone scan that offers a URL to a real web page. Now, that’s class.
Well, I guess this was one of Monika’s first attempts at trying to change the game’s code. I mean, really, how good are you at Python?
