I am a PC player myself, but I use the arrow keys and the number pad when I play - Page down for char, insert for inv and delete key for my blade of woe / vampire bite / general syzygy use. This replaces the Blade of Woe, a unique dagger awarded to the player by the Dark Brotherhood. I thought the original looked too Orcish and did not live up to its namesake. Further, its life-drain enchantment was hardly useful to an assassin. This mod includes an original model and texture set and a new, more assassin-friendly enchantment. AMidianBorn Blade of Woe - Skyrim Mod resolution is 2048X2048 file includes a small tweak on mesh fles to enable enviromental map reflection and provide a less fancy specularity all maps except normal have been redone from scratch, just minor changes on normal.

I'm Confused[edit]

Someone changed the damage on the unenchanted version of the blade to 3 instead of 7, i can't remember know which is right, i've left it as 3 for know since that sounds more reasonable so could someone verify it? --Volanaro 10:06, 13 April 2008 (EDT)

It's 3, as far as I remember. Oh, by the way Volanaro, have a look at my Userpage. There's a new image... --HMSVictory 10:15, 13 April 2008 (EDT)
Ok thanks for that, i saw the image on your page by the way, don't get it though please explain, probably better to put a message on my talk page rather than here. --Volanaro 10:21, 13 April 2008 (EDT)
The base damage of all versions of the Blade of Woe, including the unenchanted version, is 7. The only place 3 would come from is an in-game value for a character with low blade and/or strength, in which case it's not the base damage. --NepheleTalk 22:39, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

Demoralize?[edit]

Seeing as it has no duration, it's effectively useless and just there for looks? Bowflight 09:00, 17 June 2008 (EDT) (Just made an account...)

Correct. I'll add something along those lines to the article, along with a note about it being fixed by the UOP. --Gaebrial 09:13, 17 June 2008 (EDT)

Enchanting[edit]

Wait if i get the blade when i'm level 1-4, but i am level 30 when it gets enchanted, will i get the level 30 version or the level 1 version?

You should receive the level 30 version, then. At least, that is my understanding. --Darth NANAME 18:11, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Used a charecter that was level one but could level 34 times. Started the dark brotherhood at lvl one after getting a strong chameleon potion from a store and duping about 200 of them. got the blade at level 1 leveled to level 35 finished the story line and got the level 30 version. I'll see about putting a note in. Mikeyboy52 04:58, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for looking into it, Mikeboy52! TalkWolok gro-BarokContributions 10:51, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
No problem, I got all the time in the world.... at least for 2 more weeks :D Mikeyboy52 10:52, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Moved note[edit]

I have moved this from the page in order to seek some second opinions:

(this version of the Blade of Woe seems to be bugged so that instead of showing Damage Magicka, it shows Fortify Magicka) It is currently uncertain what causes this bug, whether it's a mod conflict or some typo in the item leveller mod.

Thanks for looking. –Elliottalk 03:19, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

I got this problem too. Looking at the the level 10-14 version (DBEnWeapBladeWoe10) in TESCS, it's set to Fortify Magicka instead of Damage. I have the game of the year PC edition (latest update, but no UOP) with the Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and no other mods. 97.94.237.18 20:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Funny, I went onto this page specifically to re-read this only to see it's been moved. I have the exact same problem. XBox 360, GOTY, no Offical Mods of any kind. Level of 13 when the blade was enchanted by Night Mother, and bears a useless Fortify Magicka with no duration, therefore doing nothing. Personally, my vote goes towards typo. 209.206.227.49 17:37, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

I was Level 12 when I got the blade enchanted, and it has the Fortify Magicka 15 mod, with no duration. I am on x360 (not GOTY) with no updates or add-ons. Have also tried it with a fully updated version of the game, with no official mods, and got the same thing. — Unsigned comment by 24.88.92.198 (talk) on 3 July 2011

I missed this little debate. Confirmed: that version of the blade has a Fortify Magicka enchantment instead of Damage Magicka. I've added it to the page. rpeh •T•C•E• 11:33, 3 July 2011 (UTC)

Free Recharges[edit]

Blade

It's possible to have these charged up without paying or using recharge items. I'll have to look into it deeper soon, but here's what I noticed:

I took a total of 12 Blades of Woe at the end of the Honor Thy Mother Quest, and have been carrying them around regularly for a while now. Every few months I level up and go to jail for about half a game-year, just to bring down my major skills (to subsequently level up beyond the 'maximum'). It helps to unload your whole inventory somewhere before you go to jail, and pick it up after. When I picked it up this time (the first since completing Honor Thy Mother), I noticed that all 12 Blades of Woe, many of which (but not all) had had a charge of 0/32640, were now fully charged.

Not sure what, specifically, was the cause.

Probably because the items were spawned in the chest, rather than placed by an NPC? Spawned enchanted weapons will have full charge. 24.156.216.144 11:53, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Damage error[edit]

Woe

I think there is an error in the article, because my Blade of Woe´s health is 100, but it has 4 of damage. Im level 9. — Unsigned comment by 189.146.234.154 (talk) at 04:52 on 21 August 2011 (UTC)

it is based on your blade skill too, these stats are for someone with 100 blade (From Fear to Eternity- Eddie The Head 04:52, 21 August 2011 (UTC))

Version 1.2.Major revision. (thanks Coolio_Wolfus for the feedback!) Now if you have 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' on and still managed to get in a fight with one, you will be able to fight back without manually turning 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' off.
In order to be able to hit an innocent while having 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' on you'll need:
1. You both need to be in combat.
2. You can not be crouching.
3. You need to directly target him with your reticle.
Please report any problems.

Description
A very simple addon that turns off 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' if you have 'Blade of Woe' or 'Vampire Feed' synergy popup on your screen and turns if back on otherwise.
If you have 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' manually turned off the addon has no effect.
The options to disable addon separately for 'Blade of Wow' and 'Vampire Feed' are provided. If both are off - the addon is disabled.
The reason why i created this addon was that i prefer to play with 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' on to avoid randomly hitting something in the middle of a city and turning it on and off just for Blade of Woe (or using a keybind) felt like too much hustle.

Notes:
  • The addon allows to attack innocents using ANY kind of ability, not just Blade of Woe/Vampire Feed, while the popup is on the screen.
  • Vampire Feed has been added, but NOT tested. Please report any problems with it.
